Fernando Pessoa | U16 Head Coach, Academy
In his seventh year with the club, Pessoa serves as Head Coach of the U16 Timbers Academy group. The Brazil native began his time in Portland as the Academy’s U13 Head Coach (2017-2019) before taking on the U15 helm in 2019. Notably, he led the U15’s on two playoff runs (2020-2022) as well as to its first international title: the 2022 Generation Adidas Cup. Prior to his time in Portland, Pessoa coached internationally, including a year at the FC Barcelona Soccer School in Brazil (2015-2016).
Pessoa holds USSF “A” and Brazil CBF “A” licenses.
