Grab Bag: Jewsbury works with Ziba Design on special bag for Girls, Inc.

Jack Jewsbury, Ziba Design

When Girls, Inc.’s Portland office reached out to find a dedicated partner to help them with their latest Power of the Purse program, Jack Jewsbury—Timbers midfielder, captain, and father or 2-year old daughter Aubrey—jumped at the chance.

As part of a special fundraiser for an organization committed to inspiring girls to be strong, smart and bold, the Power of the Purse event is a gala fundraiser in March where one-of-a-kind designed bags are auctioned off to support Girls, Inc. and their programs.

Jewsbury has been paired with Portland design firm Ziba to come up with a unique creation. For Jewsbury, this means more “bag” than “purse.” First step: meet with the designers and begin to sketch out ideas. Stay tuned to PortlandTimbers.com throughout the offseason as the design begins to take shape.
