4 Worlds United watches Timbers Academy Player, Issa Hassan train with First Team
Issa Hassan got to participate in a Portland Timbers off-season training session earlier this month. Hassan has an incredible story of fleeing from Kenya and coming to America. He was discovered by 4 World United, a local non-profit that provides support to refugee children by giving them the opportunity to play soccer at the club level, and eventually was selected to be on the Timbers U-16 Academy team. At the training session, Hassan was able to showcase his skills at JELD-WEN Field in front of the first team as well as his friends from 4WU. Timbers players Bright Dike, Charles Renken, Danny Mwanga and Kalif Alhassan joined the 4WU guests after practice to answer questions, take photos and sign autographs.
