Portland Thorns FC and Your Local Toyota Dealers are partnering to honor difference-makers in the Portland community throughout the 2019 NWSL season. On September 21, we were proud to honor Jen Hammill. Jen has been a tremendous support to the Children’s Cancer Association for several years, not only as a volunteer but as a champion of our organization within her company, Micropump. Jen volunteers for CCA at every turn and in every way, and leads her coworkers to do the same; the Micropump team volunteered 140 hours of service in 2018 alone, with Jen as their leader—logging 30 hours herself and doing all the recruiting and scheduling of her team. Aside from her volunteerism, Jen also leads personal fundraisers for CCA and has presented to Micropump’s parent company IDEX to successfully secure CCA a substantial grant from their foundation the past four years. We are deeply grateful for her dedication, engagement, positivity, and support. Congratulations Jen!
