Timbers Academy's Dario White selected to join Jamaica for 2025 U-17 World Cup Qualifiers

Called Up - Dario White 16x9
White is set to partake in the U-17 World Cup Qualifiers with the young Raggae Boyz from Feb. 7-16.

Portland Timbers Academy forward Dario White has been selected to the Jamaica U-17 National Team for the upcoming 2025 Concacaf U-17 World Cup Qualifiers taking place in Guatemala from February 7-16. White joined the young Reggae Boyz in Kingston, Jamaica beginning on February 1 for a preparation camp ahead of the squad's participation in the qualifiers.

Jamaica, placed in Group H alongside El Salvador, Cayman Islands, and St. Lucia, will play all their matches in Guatemala. The top team in the group will earn a spot in the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.

The 2025 Concacaf U-17 World Cup Qualifiers will be the first under the new Concacaf U-17 format and will span across six venues to include the participation of 35 Concacaf Member Associations. It follows FIFA’s confirmation in early 2024 that it would increase the frequency of the FIFA U-17 Men’s World Cup to become an annual competition. Matches for the 2025 edition will be divided across six venues: Bermuda will host Group A, Costa Rica Group B and F, Mexico Group C, Honduras Group D, Guatemala Groups E and H, and Panama Group G.

Fellow Academy product Daniel Nuñez was also called up to Mexico's U-17 team who are placed in and host Group C, with matchups against Nicaragua, Barbados, Belize, and Dominica
