PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers have acquired allocation money from Real Salt Lake in exchange for the MLS rights for forward Robbie Findley, it was announced today. Per league and club policy, terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Findley, 27, was selected by the Timbers with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2010 MLS Expansion Draft on Nov. 24, 2010, from Real Salt Lake. He played four seasons in MLS with the LA Galaxy (2007) and Real Salt Lake (2007-10) before signing with English club Nottingham Forest.
