Teams Green and Gold select their Timbers and Thorns players for the June 26 match at Providence Park
Ahead of the Green is Gold Charity Match on June 26 at Providence Park, Team Green Co-Captains Diego Chara and Meaghan Nally will join Team Gold Co-Captains Eric Miller and Gabby Provenzano in a livestreamed Team Selection Event here on Timbers.com and on YouTube beginning at 6pm PT on Wednesday. KGW’s Orlando Sanchez will host the special occasion with the co-captains selecing players to each team, alternating picks between Portland Timbers and Thorns FC players. Following the event a full list of squads for the 60-minute, full field match will be shared.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm PT on June 26 at Providence Park with all seating for the event available as general admission and redeemable through SeatGeek with an option to donate while acquiring a ticket. The match will also be streamed live on Timbers.com. All donations made through the ticketing process will support The Nature Conservancy and Keep Oregon Green’s initiatives.
Supported by Daimler Truck North America, Intel, KeyBank, SeatGeek and TikTok, the Green is Gold Charity Match is free to the public with an encouraged donation to nonprofits The Nature Conservancy and Keep Oregon Green.
