We asked Brock a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
"Back in 2007 I had won a silent auction for 4 tickets to a Timbers match. I was a rainy spring day, Timbers won, but I don't remember the score or who they were playing, but I do remember it was fun and the Timbers Army was having a blast regardless of the rain and cold."
What was your favorite moment of the match today?
"The final whistle! Getting 3 points at home is close to a requirement at this point in the season."
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
"For the first half: Will Johnson - hustling back on defense and controlling the shape and tempo of the game. Second Half: Diego Valeri - he looks to be getting his touch back and opened up space for the offense."
What is your prediction for the next match – Timbers versus Real Salt Lake?
"I'm predicting that Melano will play better on the grassy pitch at Rio Tinto, then he did on the turf at Providence Park. He'll put away his first goal as a Timber."
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom? Any gameday superstitions?
"No superstitions. We hang a Timbers flag outside the house on game days... And I am proud to say, my wife is a native Seattlite and she HATES the Sounders. The Axe experience was perfect! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, seats were amazing and I got to hear the true environment that the Army makes from a distance. It was a perfect night! RCTID."
