Programs
ROSE CITY READERS
“Rose City Readers” magnifies the importance of children reading at their grade level and furthering their education. Studies show students who read by third grade are four times more likely to graduate on time, succeed in college and careers, and contribute to society. Because of this, Timber Joey and our players are dedicated to visiting schools in our community and motivating students to read.
SCORE A GOAL, PLANT A TREE
“Score A Goal, Plant A Tree” program with Friends of Trees and Daimler Truck North America creates lasting change in our neighborhoods. Through this initiative, the Timbers plant a tree within city limits to commemorate goals scored throughout the season – and then some! Since 2011, over 10,700 trees and shrubs have been planted which absorb carbon dioxide at a rate of 1.9M pounds a year, remove 513,600 pounds of pollutants each year and intercept over 25.4M gallons of storm water runoff to keep our rivers clean. SOMOS TIMBERS
The programs and community outreach of Somos Timbers highlight the Portland Timbers commitment to support our local Latino Community through fan engagement, youth development, accessibility to soccer, and overall health and wellness.
TIX FOR KIDS
We invite your organization to participate in "Tix for Kids!" Through the support of our generous sponsors, this program provides game tickets, free-of-charge to youth focused nonprofits. Check back soon for details on 2024 season.
